State Research and Design
²nstitute of Basic Chemistry (NIOÑH²M)
The institute was founded in 1923 and
since 1960s, has become the leading institution in the field
of basic chemistry, general designer of all soda plants and 22
concomitant facilities in the former USSR. Now NIOCHIM is the
advance organization in Ukrainian and CIS chemical industry
dealing with process development and design engineering of
manufacturing facilities in inorganic chemicals.
According to
our designs, such tremendous chemical complexes have been
built in Ukraine as Crimea Soda Plant, barium and strontium
compounds facilities at Kostyantynivka Chemical Plant, calcium
chloride facilities at Lysychansk and Slavyansk, etc. Under
the direct auspices of NIOCHIM specialists, soda ash plants
and facilities were built and commissioned at Sterlitamak and
Berezniki, Russia, Devnya, Bulgaria, as well as caustic soda
plant at Zeway, Ethiopia. NIOCHIM possesses more than 1500
patented inventions, 100 of them in foreign countries, and has
sold 30 licenses.
NIOCHIM sells
know-how and performs design engineering for chemical
companies in Poland, Czech Republic, Romania, Germany, Iran,
France, Ethiopia, etc.
The structure
of the institute including research division, design division
and experimental plant, permits the execution of large-size
orders from scientific development, facility engineering,
equipment manufacture and installation up to plant
commissioning and start-up.
